III. Getting Here
Tap a hotel to book or learn more.
Fly into Kansas City International Airport (MCI), about 30 minutes from downtown KC and the venue.
Uber and Lyft are easy to use around Kansas City for airport rides, hotels, and the wedding weekend. If you'd rather have your own car, rental cars are also readily available at the airport.
We have room blocks and discounted rates at KC Marriott Country Club Plaza and Hilton KC Country Club Plaza. We also recommend the nearby Raphael Hotel, The Truitt, and Aida Hotel, though there are no room blocks at those properties.

The only American museum dedicated to WWI — one of Cindy's favorites. Don't miss the sweeping view of the Kansas City skyline from the top of the memorial tower.

The largest contemporary art museum in Missouri and free for all guests — just a short walk from the Nelson-Atkins.

The world's only museum dedicated to the history of African-American baseball — a highly underrated stop. Once you're done, pop next door to the American Jazz Museum to learn about the origins of Kansas City jazz.
Historic open-air dining and shopping district modeled after KC's sister city, Sevilla, Spain. A fantastic place to take a walk and grab a coffee or quick bite. Stop by Made in KC Marketplace for locally-made souvenirs.
The main art gallery district in downtown KC, with eclectic shops, restaurants, and coffee shops. For shopping, check out Dear Society and Blackbird Collection.
One of the oldest neighborhoods in KC, anchored by the City Market — a year-round farmers market with food stalls and shops. A nice morning stroll along the riverfront.
A beloved seasonal bistro on Main Street — a great choice for a special dinner during the wedding weekend.
The largest specialty brewer in the Midwest. Visit their Beer Hall and try their classic Tank 7, or schedule a tour and tasting to sample their unreleased brews — Cindy highly recommends!
A KC favorite and a particularly sentimental spot for Cindy — Hi Hat is a 3-minute walk from her middle/high school, and she has many fond memories of going there after school for Peachy Keen smoothies and Hi Hat Crushes. It's also right on the Kansas–Missouri border, so you can technically buy your coffee in Kansas and cross the street to enjoy it in Missouri.
Espresso bar and pastry counter in the Crossroads — small, exceptional, and ideal for a quick morning stop.
One of KC's most respected roasters. Order their pour-over and settle in — the cafe is warm, design-forward, and full of regulars.
Three floors of coffee, pastries, and a soaring downtown space. Get a cardamom bun from Ibis Bakery on the ground floor — it's a KC staple.
Women's boutique offering modern wardrobe staples and curated vintage pieces — one of Cindy's favorite stores. Named to The New York Times' ‘50 Best Clothing Stores in America’ list in 2025. Worth a visit even if just to try their excellent in-house matcha bar.
A modern retail concept focusing on independent designers and contemporary fashion that opened in 2023. Cindy and Victor love the shop owners — highly recommend stopping by.
An incredible clothing and vintage interior store that opened in 2023. The owner is a world traveler who curates every piece of furniture and decor herself, and all clothing items are from sustainable or minority- and women-owned brands.
